First, a little bit about our Province, Guanacaste, Costa Rica...It is mainly an area for farming and agriculture. Rice, sugar cane and some fruits and vegetables are grown here. It is also known for cattle and horse ranching. Over 250 beautiful bays and beaches are strewn along the coast and there are many vibrant communities throughout the area. I love my work as as real estate agent in this area. The Papagayo Bay Area includes Ocotal, Playas del Coco, Hermosa, Panama and north to the Four Seasons Papagayo and Santa Rosa National Park. Guanacaste is a high tourism zone and offers beautiful beaches, volcanoes, jungles and several microclimates. It is a province where you can have it all...at the beach you can be in sunny, 30C temps in the morning and drive a short 90 minutes into the mountains and feel beautiful rain and temps of 25C

Playas del Coco is where I currently live and it is a popular vacation and residential area. Coco was originally a fishing village and has since become a focal point for tourism, vacation homes, residences and amenities. I love Coco because of the beaches in the area. Also, all of the things you need for daily life can be found there and it's only 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport.

Playa Hermosa is located about 10 minutes drive north of Coco. It is a quieter, more upscale small town with several gated communities, beachfront bars, a cinema and a beautiful salt and pepper beach with crystal clear water. There are some amazing ocean view homes and condominiums in Hermosa and it is a quiet, peaceful location.

Playa Ocotal is about 10 minutes south of Coco and is a community built up the moutainsides with many properties offering spectacular ocean views. The beach is a mixture of black and brown sand and the water is very clear with excellent snorkeling, swimming and many other watersports.
